“Boot Camp”

Every recruit must go through 9 weeks (weekends) of recruit training (also known as boot camp) starting at 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM at the Marine Corps Air Station – Miramar Base (MCAS) . During this time, they will learn the history of the program, how to persevere and encourage each other physically, learn to work as a unit, drill, follow verbal commands, learn self-discipline/self-control and earn the right to be recognized as a Young Marine. In addition, develop self-confidence’s and realize their capabilities to accomplish assignments/goals. Upon completion of boot camp, they will graduate and become a San Diego Young Marine.

Members will then meet twice per month on Saturdays from 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM and attend one event per month.
